Mercer County First-Five-Fair
the Mercer County “First-Five Fair” event to be held at The Carpenter’s Christian Church on Saturday, April 30, 2022 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm. The side door by the gym will open to families at 10:00 am. Vendors, please arrive to set up between 9:30-9:45 am to organize your table display.
Mercer County’s Early Childhood Council team has chosen to offer an Early Childhood information fair, April 30, at The Carpenter’s Christian Church, as we have recognized that through COVID many of our families were unaware of services available to them for assistance. Now that we are able to host events, we find it very important that we introduce our families of 0-5 year old children to service providers in our community. According to the July 2019 census, six percent of Mercer County’s population is children under the age of six. Hosting an Early Childhood Fair will enable families of 0-5 year old children an opportunity to meet service providers face to face, learn about pre-school opportunities, information about upcoming pre-school screenings and kindergarten registration, health care providers and many other services.
